Mountpark Logistics has announced its sponsorship of a skatepark in Illiers Combray, the same commune where the next generation logistics park, Mountpark Chartres, is located. This initiative underscores Mountpark’s commitment to actively engage with and support the local community.

The pump track was opened with a ribbon-cutting event on February 16th, in the presence of esteemed guests including Yann Gérard, Secretary General of the Prefecture of Eure-et-Loir, Luc Lamirault, Member of Parliament for the constituency, Laure de La Raudiere, Departmental Councillor for the Illiers-Combray Canton, and Bernard Puyenchet, Mayor of the commune. Mr. Puyenchet expressed his gratitude to the State, the Centre-Val de Loire Region, the Department of Eure-et-Loir, and the private financial partners Mountpark and general contractor ING2K whose contributions made the project possible.

Following the official speeches and ribbon-cutting ceremony, Ewen Gicqueau, a mountain biking instructor and freestyle specialist, thrilled the audience with his demonstrations and initiation sessions before the track was opened to the public.

Located within a former SNCF railway hangar, this pump track stands out as the only partially covered facility of its kind in the Eure-et-Loir department. It is accessible 24/7 offering local enthusiasts and young people a fantastic facility to gather and practice their sports, enhancing the local area and fostering recreational opportunities for all.

The skatepark in Illiers Combray epitomizes Mountpark’s commitment to supporting and giving back to the local communities, particularly when it promotes a healthy outdoor activity for the younger generations!
