Amazon has selected Mountpark to deliver its latest French fulfilment centre at Mountpark Chartres in Illiers-Combray.
The online retailer has worked closely with Mountpark and local elected officials to finalise the design for a new single storey Fulfilment Centre on a 23ha site forming part of the wider 60ha Mountpark Chartres site.
The retained general contractor, BEG Ingénierie, has already started the construction of Amazon’s 118,500 sqm property, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The property will be equipped with Amazon’s latest robotic technologies and is expected to create nearly 1,000 jobs in the Centre-Val de Loire region.

Unit 1 is ideally located fronting the A11 motorway, providing excellent distribution capabilities across France. The site sits strategically 100km from Paris at the gates of both the Atlantic Corridor and with good accessibility to and from the principal north/south logistics corridor, known as the ‘Dorsale’.
Once completed, Mountpark Chartres will provide a trio of logistics properties. In January, a 9-year lease was secured for the completed 35,583 sq m Unit 2. The remaining opportunity, Unit 3, is fully permitted and offers flexibility to deliver between 40,000-112,600 sq m of logistics space within 12-15 months.
