Played at Craven Cottage, home to Fulham Football Club, the match between Mountpark and the IAS All Stars, raised over £75,000 for Variety, The Children’s Charity; Walking With The Wounded and the IAS nominated charities.

With the help of DJ David Hamilton – Variety celebrity and ‘the voice’ of Fulham Football Club – Mountpark presented a Variety Sunshine Coach to Lancaster School, a designated Community Special School from Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex. (Link to Mountpark Donates Variety Sunshine Coach to Lancaster School) The school encourages students to get out and about, taking an active role in the local community and as Headteacher, Melanie Hall explained, the Sunshine Coach will play a vital part:

“This is so much more than just a minibus to us,” she said. “It allows us to take young people out of school and into the community in a way that removes any potential stress from the journey and helps our students get the most out of the day ahead.”

Walking With The Wounded helps vulnerable veterans integrate back into society. Ed Parker, Co-founder and CEO, said:

“One of the most important services Walking With The Wounded can provide is helping veterans find a job. The money raised by this event will make a real difference to what we do.”

Philip O’Callaghan, Managing Director, Mountpark UK and Ireland thanked all the event’s sponsors, Fulham Football Club and everyone who had worked hard to make the evening a success.

“We are delighted to have raised over £75,000 for such deserving charities and I would like to thank you all for your support,” he said.  “We are planning to make the Mountpark Charity Football Match an annual event and we look forward to seeing everyone here again next year.”
