Mountpark Leases 133,445 sq ft at Wakefield Europort.

30th January 2018

Within a mile of Junction 31 of the M62 and with easy access to the M1, the M6 and the A1(M), Mountpark Wakefield is close to the Wakefield Europort Intermodal Railfreight Terminal.

Mountpark Logistics developed the building speculatively on a six acre site, with Stoford as development manager.  The unit, which has achieved BREEAM ‘very good’ accreditation, is the first new logistics facility of its size and specification to be built in the region since 2008.

“Our tenant needed a new building in West Yorkshire that is immediately ready to occupy,” said David Carvey, Development Director at Mountpark.  “We invested in Wakefield Europort to create the best opportunity in the local market for our customers and we are delighted that we were able to meet the company’s requirements.”

DTRE, JLL Leeds and Moriarty & Company acted for Mountpark Logistics.  Knight Frank Leeds represented the occupier.

Since its formation in 2014, Mountpark Logistics has acquired 16 sites with the potential to deliver over 20 million sq ft of logistics accommodation.  The company is currently on site with a speculative development programme of around 2 million sq ft in the UK and Ireland.
