Construction has commenced on the first phase of Grange Castle West, Mountpark’s latest €325+ million logistics campus in South Dublin.
Grange Castle West is Mountpark’s second major logistics development in the Irish market and is located just two kilometres away from its fully occupied Baldonnell project. The development of Grange Castle West will bring Mountpark’s overall investment in the Irish logistics sector to €600 million in the past six years.
The 78-acre scheme can accommodate up to 1,240,000 sq. ft. of prime logistics space and is strategically positioned with immediate links to the N7 (Naas Rd) and the N4, offering occupiers excellent connectivity to the Irish motorway network.
Mountpark has planning permission for Phase 1 of Grange Castle West, which comprises five buildings totalling 626,234 sq. ft., ranging in size from 70,000 to 197,000 sq. ft., along with site-wide enabling works.
Construction of this phase, which includes the entire 78-acre infrastructure package, is already underway. Three of the five units will be delivered on an inventory basis, including Unit 1 (114,766 sq. ft.), Unit 2 (197,500 sq. ft.), and Unit 4 (97,000 sq. ft.), which will be available from the second quarter of 2025. Two other units are reserved for customers.
Each building will be constructed to a high specification focussing on sustainability and targeting BREEAM Outstanding and BER A1 ratings, reflecting those achieved at Baldonnell.
The campus-style infrastructure will create a highly attractive landscaped external environment and deliver a central opportunity for design and build requirements of up to 500,000 sq. ft.
An estimated 1,000 people are expected to be employed onsite at the completion of Grange Castle West, with a further 300 jobs created during the construction phase of the project.
