As logistics and supply chain requirements grow more complex, many of the world’s most recognisable companies are re-evaluating what they need from their logistics infrastructure and who they choose to partner with. For a growing number of those brands, we are proud to find the answer is Mountpark.
Mountpark has delivered almost 2m square metres of high-specification logistics space across Europe since 2014. Clients including Amazon, Mattel, GXO and Carreras have partnered with us to support their distribution, e-commerce and fulfilment strategies. These decisions are not just driven by brand familiarity, but by our proven capability, reliable delivery and measurable outcomes, such as the ahead-of-schedule delivery of a 25,000 sq m extension for Alloga at Mountpark Orléans, enabling Alliance Healthcare France to scale its logistics operations more rapidly. The leasing of all seven units at Mountpark Baldonnell in Ireland, prior to practical completion, reflects our ability to deliver complex, high-value developments that align with occupiers’ growth strategies.
There are several reasons global businesses choose Mountpark, which, when combined, demonstrate why we are consistently attracting big box occupiers. Firstly, our development sites are carefully selected based on transport connectivity, labour availability, planning feasibility and proximity to major population centres. We prioritise locations that are well-positioned to support our customers’ supply chain operations, such as Mountpark Bratislava and Mountpark Illescas, which offer immediate motorway access and strategic proximity to cities like Bratislava, Vienna and Madrid, enabling faster regional and cross-border distribution.
Our site selection process is based on transport modelling, demographic analysis and long-term trends in logistics demand. For example, UK sites such as Mountpark Hinckley are positioned within the Golden Triangle, from where more than 90% of the UK population can be reached within a four-hour drive. In Ireland, we are investing upwards of €600 million in developing two state-of-the-art logistics parks on the outskirts of Dublin, addressing the shortage of logistics infrastructure proximite to the city. Across mainland Europe, we are actively developing sites near major logistics hubs such as the Dorsale in France, Barcelona to Madrid, Lodz to Warsaw, each strategically chosen for its connectivity to transport infrastructure.
Mountpark projects range from single tenant builds to multi-phase logistics parks spanning hundreds of thousands of square metres. Our vertically integrated model enables us to manage the full development lifecycle, from land acquisition through planning and construction. This structure ensures our strong record of on-time delivery and allows our clients to meet their operational go-live dates.
Many of our clients come to us with highly specific operational needs, such as automation compatibility, racking configurations or phased development plans. Our in-house technical team works closely with occupiers to deliver tailored solutions that meet those criteria, and we work with customers when they take occupation and beyond.
We have developed both speculative and build-to-suit units, including cross-dock facilities, cold storage integration and infrastructure for robotics and high-bay automation. In most cases, early engagement during the design phase helps reduce downstream complexity and cost. By better understanding our customers’ businesses from the outset, we can deliver highly tailored solutions.
Our ongoing relationships with several big brands across multiple countries are a testament to our ability to deliver consistently and adapt to different market requirements. And we are regularly innovating. By monitoring emerging sector trends and needs, such as the demand for on-site wellbeing facilities or data-driven energy monitoring, we are able to build new features into projects where appropriate.
With responsible development a guiding principle, we aim to achieve sustainability-related certifications by considering building design and specifications, implementing energy, waste, and water efficiency practices and striving for biodiversity enhancement.
All our projects are designed and constructed to meet or exceed recognised environmental standards in each country where we operate. These certifications are more than just badges, they demonstrate our local expertise and desire for sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
For example, in Ireland, Mountpark Baldonnell achieved the highest ever BREEAM rating in the country, scoring 92.5%. In France, we pursue BiodiverCity accreditation, a respected benchmark for integrating biodiversity into urban development. And, in Poland this year we’ve proudly become a member of the Polish Green Building Council, a milestone that reflects our alignment with leading green building practices and national sustainability goals.
We also take time to understand and help our customers achieve their sustainability ambitions, even when it means going beyond our original commitments. At Mountpark Warrington Omega II, our tenant Gousto approached us two years into their lease with updated sustainability goals and a request to reduce their carbon footprint. While we could have suggested a standard third-party green energy tariff, we chose to do more and installed an additional 999.9 kWh solar PV array on Gousto’s property. This tripled the property’s renewable energy capacity and enabled it to generate around 21% of its energy needs independently. The project has been a major step forward in advancing its decarbonisation goals. This kind of collaboration highlights our aim to foster sustainable asset management, aligning occupier needs with long-term environmental value, and demonstrating how we go the extra mile to benefit both business and planet.
Leading brands evaluate logistics partners on more than just first impressions; capability and consistency are crucial, and decisions are grounded in risk management, performance metrics and strategic alignment.
Mountpark continues to attract global occupiers because we provide practical, well-located and efficiently delivered buildings that support business-critical operations. We focus on the fundamentals – location, quality, speed and responsible development – because those are the areas that directly impact the commercial outcomes of our customers.
Our role is not to lead the strategic direction, but to support the operational needs of those who do, by providing development expertise they can trust. That’s where we add value, and why big brands choose Mountpark.
