Mountpark has secured Alza as the first customer at its flagship Slovakian development, Mountpark Bratislava.

Alza, a leading online retailer in Central and Eastern Europe, has leased a 65,000 sqm facility in Building A at the premier logistics park, construction on which commenced in October.

Underscoring Mountpark’s commitment to delivering top-tier logistics solutions, Mountpark Bratislava is a two-unit logistics park strategically located to deliver significant supply chain efficiencies for logistics operators, e-commerce and retail companies as well as other occupiers looking for a high quality, modern space near Bratislava. Situated close to Bratislava and the airport with immediate access to the D1 Highway, the logistics park offers excellent connectivity, making it an ideal location for logistics, e-commerce, and retail operators to serve Bratislava, Vienna and the wider region.

“Securing Alza, one of the most recognised brands in Europe, as our first customer at Mountpark Bratislava is a testament to our passion for innovation and growth in the logistics sector,” commented Jakub Pelikan, Development Director, Central Europe at Mountpark. “This logistics park has been meticulously designed to meet the demands of ambitious occupiers like Alza, while also creating an environment that prioritises employee wellbeing and fosters workplace pride. Alza’s recognition of our commitment and investment in Slovakia is a significant compliment, and we are excited to support its continued growth as a leading e-commerce player in Europe.”

Miroslav Kövary, Vice Chairman of the Board at Alza added: “We are delighted to expand our logistics operations in cooperation with Mountpark. We believe that we will gain a high-quality base to support the growth and efficiency of our activities in Central Europe.”

Targeting BREEAM Excellent with a strong focus on employee wellbeing, Mountpark Bratislava will deliver an attractive and productive environment, reflecting Mountpark’s signature projects across Europe. This includes two active schemes in Poland and Mountpark Sered in Slovakia, where neighbouring occupiers include Amazon, Samsung and Lidl.

Michal Cerulík, Head of Industrial & Logistics at CBRE which brokered the pre-lease transaction between Alza and Mountpark commented: “This project faced tight timelines and complex technical requirements. Our coordination across multiple departments ensured seamless execution, meeting the tenant’s target timing and providing Alza with significant growth opportunities across the region via Mountpark Bratislava‘s prime location.“
